Short Information: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the JTET Syllabus 2026 for candidates preparing for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for Primary Teacher (Paper-I) and Upper Primary Teacher (Paper-II) eligibility.

Primary Level Class 1-5	10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC / D.El.Ed.). OR 10+2 with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms. OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with passed/appearing final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC / D.El.Ed.).
Junior Level Class 6-8	Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with passed/appearing final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC / D.El.Ed.). OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing final year of B.Ed. / L.T. / Shiksha Shastri (Regular). OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. as per NCTE norms. OR 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed. OR 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. program. OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education). OR Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks and 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.
