Short Information: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) Online Form 2026 for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary and upper primary government schools across Jharkhand. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official JTET portal within the prescribed application dates after ensuring they meet the required eligibility criteria including D.El.Ed, B.Ed, graduation, or senior secondary qualifications as applicable for Paper-I and Paper-II.

Primary Level Class 1-5	10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC / D.El.Ed.). OR 10+2 with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms. OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with passed/appearing final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC / D.El.Ed.).
Junior Level Class 6-8	Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with passed/appearing final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC / D.El.Ed.). OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing final year of B.Ed. / L.T. / Shiksha Shastri (Regular). OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. as per NCTE norms. OR 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed. OR 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. program.
